PURE Insurance Webpage Redesign

The Problem

PURE Insurance’s digital lead and marketing department are in the process of redesigning their patient portal. They sought to refresh the "Home Spotlight" page to ensure it aligns seamlessly with their newly redesigned pages.

The Process

Research & Inspiration

For this project, I researched by reviewing the patient portal's redesigned pages to identify recurring patterns and elements. I then incorporated these findings into my design to ensure consistency and alignment with the existing redesign

Decisions & Design

To begin, I focused on addressing the issue of heavy typography overlaying the image in the hero section, which had been rightly modified in the redesigned pages to reduce visual clutter. Drawing inspiration from the "Roadside Assistance" and "Ting" pages, I refined this area to ensure it was clean and aligned with the overall design of the patient portal.

I also updated the image to showcase a more modern home, enhancing the page's simplicity and giving it a clean, contemporary look. When the design is fully assembled, the shadows from the image subtly echo the color palette used throughout, creating a cohesive and unified appearance.

I continued to mirror the page title and copy as the other pages did to show uniformity.

Next, I focused on the report features and incorporated the existing branded color banner with subtle wave imagery, which was used on other pages. This design element creates contrast and highlights key information while breaking up the text-heavy content, enhancing both readability and visual appeal.

I employed white typography and ensured consistency by utilizing a button design from previous pages.

I wanted the "request a report" section to be the focal point but not clash with the "features" stark presence. I decided to subtly emphasize the form while adding familiar content containers to be consistent with other pages.

The map received minimal modification, with the addition of subtle rounded corners. This adjustment not only contributed to a cohesive design by matching the rounded corners used in other content containers but also provided a clean, modern look. This was a straightforward enhancement, particularly given the limited scope for modifying the map itself.

For historical reports, I applied a subtle color palette change to ensure the table seamlessly integrated with others throughout the portal. Additionally, adjusting the bolded typography brightened the section and contributed to a cleaner, more polished appearance.

I repositioned the “Your Current Homes” section to align with the redesigned page layout. To ensure consistency, I refined both the heading and the contact information at the bottom. Removing the lines under the phone number and URL decluttered the area, while changing the URL to green established a clear hierarchy and enhanced overall design consistency.

The Solution

Insights

Through this webpage rebranding project, I learned the importance of design consistency across a digital platform to create a cohesive user experience. I gained insights into how subtle elements like color, typography, and layout can enhance visual appeal and functionality. This project also highlighted the value of user-centric design in improving navigation and engagement, as well as the need to balance creativity with brand guidelines to ensure alignment with the brand's identity.
